Birth of a Glove. Now, our SafeGrasp™ gloves are an all-consuming labor of love driven by an exciting possibility: The possibility of gloves that provide better protection than anything else on the market. At SafeGrasp™ we ask gardeners, landscapers, farmers and home remodelers to field test our gloves and give us their feedback – good or bad. This has been a wonderful strength for us because we have learned what to change or what new styles are needed due to their genuine hard working insight. We welcome all of our customers to provide comments to us – it’s how we can continue to be the best. We’re listening! The Material Now, you can reach in and trim your roses, barberry or blackberries without painful thorns and stickers piercing your skin. You can repair barbed wire fence with ease or install a stone patio without having your hands suffer from the hard work. The Discovery We first recognized the possibility of incorporating this new fabric into gloves and other products when we met Dr. Kim in 1996. And in 1997, we invested in his company, convinced that the new fabric technology, though not yet perfected for medical use, could be used to make gloves for hundreds of other jobs where hands are susceptible to injury from cuts and punctures. As of today, the current fabric isn’t fine enough for the exacting dexterity standards of the medical marketplace. However, the fabric is great for our uses in gardening, farm, landscaping, and much more. And in 2002, our glove company started to make SafeGrasp™ gloves. Surprise – Another Unexpected
Use Then, we made jumbo sized scrub pads and field tested them for outdoor cleaning and the results were great! People used them to clean garden tools, BBQ’s , fountains, patio furniture, bird baths and much more.
