The Birth of a Glove.
SafeGrasp™ - What Set’s Us Apart!
A genuine joy of working outside – in the garden, the yard or in clearing a thicket of brush.  Or, the satisfaction felt in performing a home remodeling project.

These are our pastimes, the people behind SafeGrasp™ products.  We have experienced the aches and pains that come with gardening, trimming roses and shrubs, cleaning gutters, clearing brush, laying stonework or remodeling a home.  And when we found the new patented SuperFabric™ brand material, we knew we had found a great fabric to use in making protective gloves and products to use in and around the home.

Now, our SafeGrasp™ gloves are an all-consuming labor of love driven by an exciting possibility:  The possibility of gloves that provide better protection than anything else on the market.

At SafeGrasp™ we ask gardeners, landscapers, farmers and home remodelers to field test our gloves and give us their feedback – good or bad.  This has been a wonderful strength for us because we have learned what to change or what new styles are needed due to their genuine hard working insight.  We welcome all of our customers to provide comments to us – it’s how we can continue to be the best.  We’re listening!

The Material
This innovative material has an amazing degree of puncture and cut protection:
• 90X the puncture resistance of  leading “high tech” gloves
• 14X the cut resistance of leather
• Plus, other fabric versions have great grip & abrasion resistance which add up to a long lasting glove.

Now, you can reach in and trim your roses, barberry or blackberries without painful thorns and stickers piercing your skin.  You can repair barbed wire fence with ease or install a stone patio without having your hands suffer from the hard work.

The Discovery
In the mid-90’s a physician challenged his friend Dr. Kim, a PhD physicist, to develop needle resistance medical gloves for use in surgery.   Dr. Kim’s immediate response was “No Way!  It’s impossible!”  However, a few months later an idea came to the physicist and he immediately went to work in his lab.   Over weeks of intense work, he developed an idea into a design and was subsequently awarded four patents for his revolutionary new fabric technology,

We first recognized the possibility of incorporating this new fabric into gloves and other products when we met Dr. Kim in 1996.  And in 1997, we invested in his company, convinced that the new fabric technology, though not yet perfected for medical use, could be used to make gloves for hundreds of other jobs where hands are susceptible to injury from cuts and punctures.

As of today, the current fabric isn’t fine enough for the exacting dexterity standards of the medical marketplace.  However, the fabric is great for our uses in gardening, farm, landscaping, and much more.   And in  2002, our glove company started to make SafeGrasp™ gloves.

Surprise – Another Unexpected Use
Surprises are not uncommon with new technologies.  In the testing of SuperFabric® brand material, it was discovered that a variation provided excellent scrubbing power – capable of cleaning baked on food and egg-encrusted pans, with the added advantage that it washed free of food debris easily.

Then, we made jumbo sized scrub pads and field tested them for outdoor cleaning and the results were great!   People used them to clean garden tools, BBQ’s , fountains, patio furniture, bird baths and much more.  For more detailed information, please go to our website www.superscrub.info
